N861BC (MSN 32336, type 777-212/ER) first flew on 14 November 2002 and was delivered to Singapore Airlines before transferring to other operators including El Al Israel Airlines. In June 2022 Boeing repainted the frame in the ecoDemonstrator 10th-anniversary livery and operated it as its primary technology test platform through 2024 — the first 777-200ER variant ever used in the ecoDemonstrator program. The aircraft was withdrawn from use and stored at VCV (Victorville) in September 2024 after two years of active testing across 85 ground and 15 flight test sessions.

Livery & Visual Detail

A gradient scheme runs from clean white at the nose, transitioning to dynamic blue wave patterns across the mid-body, deepening to dark blue at the tail. A fine jade-green accent line traces the white-to-blue boundary along the lower fuselage. "ecoDemonstrator" appears in large lettering forward on the white nose section, with "eco" in green and "Demonstrator" in black, paired with the Boeing wordmark and logo. The vertical stabilizer carries a white circular orbit/loop symbol on a blue-gradient field. The port engine nacelle features a "10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY" commemorative badge with a green leaf motif. GE90 engines with smooth exhaust nozzles (no chevrons); classic 777 flat wingtips without winglets. This is a 1:200 scale model and includes a display stand.
