Registration F-GSTD, MSN 776, is the fourth of five Airbus A300-600ST Super Transporter aircraft built to carry oversized aircraft components between Airbus production sites across Europe. The airframe first flew on 9 June 1998. Unlike a commercial jetliner, the A300-600ST carries complete wing sets, fuselage sections, and empennage assemblies — components that no conventional freighter could accommodate. F-GSTD operated for Airbus Transport International until Airbus phased out the original Beluga fleet in favour of the BelugaXL. The aircraft's final local flight at Toulouse officially ended 27 years of service. The "4" designation is marked on the nose and horizontal stabilizers.

Livery & Visual Details

White dominates the fuselage, with "AIRBUS BELUGA" in large light-blue lettering on the upper fuselage. A dark blue Airbus logo appears on the engine nacelle. The vertical stabilizer carries a dynamic swirling pattern in deep blue, light blue, and white. The large black numeral "4" is present on both the nose cone and the horizontal stabilizers. The wing tips feature smoothly blended upswept tips. Two CFM56-5C2 turbofan nacelles are white with Airbus branding.

JC Wings produced LH4381C as part of their Interactive Series, featuring an openable nose cone that replicates the Beluga's distinctive cargo-loading mechanism — a detail unique to this type among commercial 1:400 models.
