XA-CAM is a Boeing 737-752(WL), MSN 33785 (line number 1398), delivered to Aeromexico on November 4, 2003. The airframe carried blended winglets from the factory—the (WL) suffix confirms this. After Aeromexico retired it around October 2015, XA-CAM transferred to Southwest Airlines as N7837A in March 2016, and later passed to Avelo Airlines as N705VL.
