EI-IFA (MSN 308) was delivered to ITA Airways on May 10, 2022, making ITA the first Italian operator of the Airbus A350 and the 40th airline globally to receive the type. The airframe carries the name "Valentino Rossi," honoring the nine-time motorcycle world champion — ITA's fleet naming convention draws from prominent figures in Italian sport and culture. MSN 308 first flew in June 2019 but spent nearly three years in storage before entering ITA service, making its operational history unusually compact relative to its build year.

Livery & Visual Details

The model's distinctive livery covers the entire fuselage in metallic royal blue (Savoy blue) with a subtle pixel-pattern texture giving the surface visible depth. "ITA AIRWAYS" is rendered in large white capitals near the nose, with a stylized diagonal cut in the "A."
