N737X carries MSN 30017 (line number 596) and operated as Boeing's own 737-900 Technology Demonstrator — an aircraft retained by the manufacturer for aerodynamic and avionics research programmes. The registration N737X, using the "737" numeric in the callsign, was deliberately chosen by Boeing for this demonstrator role. "Technology Demonstrator" lettering appears on the aft fuselage below the registration, identifying this airframe's research mission. Boeing house-colour demonstrator subjects are among the rarest liveries in scale model form.

Livery & Visual Details

White fuselage. A multi-stripe cheatline of dark blue, red, and thin blue runs along the lower fuselage from nose to tail, curving up onto the lower vertical stabilizer. The tail fin carries a large stylized "737" logo in dark blue with a thin red diagonal accent. "BOEING 737-900" printed in bold blue on the forward fuselage.
