HL8598 carries MSN 689 and is Korean Air's second Airbus A350-900, delivered from Toulouse on December 28, 2024. The aircraft ferried TLS–PUS before entering revenue service at Gimpo and Incheon. Korean Air introduced the A350-900 to replace aging wide-body equipment on long-haul routes, with HL8598 entering a fleet where the type will fly alongside the airline's 787-9 and 777-300ER fleets. The A350-941 variant is powered by Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-84 engines.

Livery & Visual Detail

The model wears Korean Air's current livery: vibrant sky-blue fuselage with white underside, the Taegeuk roundel centered on the blue tail. "KOREAN AIR" is printed in large dark-blue capitals forward of the wing, the "R" incorporating the miniature Taegeuk logo. A small South Korean flag (Taegeukgi) sits below the cockpit windows on the port side, with "대한항공" in smaller dark lettering on the nose. HL8598 is visible below the horizontal stabilizer in white capitals. Wingtips are the A350's signature composite raked tips — curved, swept-back extensions, not vertical winglets.
