YU-ARA (MSN 885) first flew on 16 November 2007 and was delivered to Jet Airways as VT-JWJ on 5 December 2007. It moved to Etihad Airways in September 2013 as A6-EYC, then arrived at Air Serbia on 11 May 2016 under the registration YU-ARA, formally entering service on 7 June 2016. The aircraft is an Airbus A330-202 powered by two GE CF6-80E1A4B engines, and carried the name "Nikola Tesla" in Air Serbia service. It operated Belgrade–New York JFK as the airline's flagship long-haul route before being returned to the lessor in the 2025–2026 fleet transition.

Livery & Visual Details

The model depicts the "Serbia Creates" (Srbija Stvara) national branding livery launched in February 2019, applied to coincide with the Serbian government's cultural and creative identity campaign. The white forward fuselage gives way to a vibrant gradient on the tail region — red transitioning through magenta-pink to orange at the lower fin — with a deep-blue upper fin bearing the Air Serbia stylised eagle logo. "AirSERBIA" titles appear on the forward cabin in dark blue. "SERBIA CREATES" in white sits at the rear fuselage in the blue zone, with the registration YU-ARA above. The machine name "Nikola Tesla" is visible at the nose. Classic raked wingtips. GE CF6 nacelles with dark grey exhaust. All gear deployed.

Model Craft & Collectibility

JC Wings XX20598 was released in late 2025 as a 1:200 full-metal diecast featuring a display stand, communications antenna detail, and removable landing gear with rubber tyres. At 29.5 cm length and 30.15 cm wingspan, this 1:200 widebody commands shelf presence. The "Serbia Creates" livery on YU-ARA has been retired along with the aircraft itself, making this a closed chapter in Air Serbia's brand history.
