1:400 Diecast: Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental House Livery (HX Models B631003)

The Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental is the passenger variant of the final 747 series, stretching the -400 fuselage by 5.6 meters to accommodate up to 467 passengers in a three-class configuration. Its first flight took place on 20 March 2011. HX Models B631003 depicts the aircraft in Boeing's house colors — the blue corporate livery used for certification and demonstration flights before customer delivery.

Livery & Visual Details

The model carries Boeing's blue house livery: white upper fuselage with a bold blue cheatline broadening over the nose section and cockpit area, where the entire lower forward fuselage turns blue. "BOEING" appears in white lettering on the blue nose. The tail fin is solid blue with a large white "747" numeral. "747-8 Intercontinental" text appears below the rear cabin windows. Raked wingtips are fitted at each wing extremity. GEnx-2B67 engines in white nacelles with grey exhaust cones. Rolling gear deployed.

HX Models renders the 747-8I in 1:400 diecast metal with the rarely modeled Boeing house color scheme. The Intercontinental variant in house livery distinguishes itself from both the 747-8F freighter N747EX and the customer-painted fleet; B631003 is one of very few releases to document the passenger prototype's demonstration configuration.
