HL8248 is a Boeing 737-9B5ER(WL), MSN 37635 line number 4038, delivered to Korean Air on May 18, 2012. More than a decade after delivery, this airframe made history as the first Korean Air narrowbody to wear the airline's redesigned 2025 color scheme — the livery visible on this model. The aircraft operates from Seoul Incheon (ICN) on domestic and short-haul regional routes.

Livery & Visual Detail

The fuselage carries Korean Air's new color scheme: a field of bright sky-blue covers the upper fuselage, crown, and tail, meeting a white lower section along a clean horizontal divide. "KOREAN" appears on the forward fuselage in bold deep-blue block letters. The registration HL8248 is printed at the rear fuselage. Blended winglets curve upward smoothly from the wingtips, finished in matching sky-blue on the outboard face. The tail displays Korean Air's Taegeuk roundel — interlocked red and blue forms on a circular field. The CFM56 engine nacelles are white; the inlet lips are grey.
