B-6136, MSN 031, first flew on March 3, 2011 and was delivered to China Southern Airlines on October 14, 2011 — the first of five A380-841s the carrier would eventually operate. Powered by four Rolls-Royce Trent 970-84 engines, B-6136 served China Southern's flagship long-haul routes for a decade before the carrier retired its entire A380 fleet; B-6136 flew its final commercial service on CZ308 (Amsterdam–Guangzhou) on October 1, 2021 and was ferried to Victorville, California for storage. The aircraft later changed hands and was re-registered as N291JM.

Livery & Visual Details

White fuselage with a multi-band cheatline of dark navy, medium blue, and a thin gold stripe along the lower fuselage. The sky-blue vertical stabilizer carries the red China Southern Kapok (kapok flower) logo outlined in white. "中国南方航空" in black Chinese characters above "CHINA SOUTHERN" in English on the forward fuselage. Registration B-6136 visible on the upper rear fuselage and on the upper wing surface. A SkyTeam logo appears on this release. Engine nacelles are white/light grey with a thin dark blue intake ring. Characteristic A380 raked wingtips with no vertical winglets. Nose gear is extended and visible.
