B-2171, MSN 48495, was the first MD-11 delivered to China Eastern Airlines, accepted on 24 May 1991. It was also one of five MD-11s that the carrier put into passenger service before transitioning to freighter operations — B-2171 converted to China Cargo Airlines on 25 January 2006. The "M111101C" suffix designates this as the Interactive Series release, which adds functional rolling gear to the standard static casting.

The model depicts the aircraft in full China Eastern Cargo livery: white fuselage with triple red, gold, and blue cheatlines, "CHINA EASTERN" in blue on the lower forward fuselage, Chinese characters reading "China Eastern Airlines" in red above.
