Serial 86-0031 (displayed on the tail as 60031) is a McDonnell Douglas KC-10A Extender that served with the 60th Air Mobility Wing at Travis Air Force Base, California. The KC-10A, derived from the commercial DC-10-30CF, entered USAF service in 1981 and served for over 44 years before the type was officially retired on 26 September 2024—replaced by the Boeing KC-46A Pegasus. Travis AFB hosted the final farewell ceremony for the KC-10 fleet that day.

Livery & Visual Details

The model is finished in overall medium matte military grey across fuselage, wings, and all three engine nacelles. "U.S. AIR FORCE" appears in large black capitals on the forward upper fuselage.
