1:500 Diecast: QantasLink Airbus A220-300 VH-X4A "Minyma Kutjara Tjukurpa" (Herpa Wings 538114)
VH-X4A, MSN 55253, an Airbus A220-300 (BD-500-1A11), ferried from Mirabel (YMX) via Vancouver, Honolulu, and Nadi to Sydney in December 2023, entering QantasLink revenue service on March 1, 2024. It was the first of 29 A220-300s ordered for National Jet Systems' QantasLink operations. The airframe carries the "Minyma Kutjara Tjukurpa" livery — a design from the Herpa Flying Art Series featuring an intricate multi-tone green Aboriginal-inspired pattern that spans the mid-to-aft fuselage.
Livery & Visual Details
The forward fuselage is white, carrying "QANTASLINK" in black block lettering. From the mid-fuselage rearward, an iridescent tessellated pattern in deep forest green and lighter teal-green — derived from an Aboriginal artwork titled "Minyma Kutjara Tjukurpa" (Two Women's Story) — covers the aircraft's flanks with an organic irregular edge. The vertical stabilizer is solid dark green, bearing the Qantas silver "flying kangaroo" logo. Registration "VH-X4A" appears in white on the green-patterned rear fuselage section. Wing tips carry white sharklets. Engine nacelles are white.
