VH-X4B (MSN 55269) was delivered to QantasLink on 19 January 2024, ferrying from Mirabel (YMX) via Vancouver, Honolulu, Nadi, and Canberra. The aircraft carries the fleet name "Koala" — part of Qantas's tradition of naming its A220s after Australian native animals. VH-X4B is powered by two Pratt & Whitney PW1524G-3 geared turbofan engines, which deliver approximately 25% lower fuel burn compared to the aircraft it replaces on regional Australian routes.

Livery & Visual Details

Standard Qantas white fuselage. The vertical stabilizer is solid bright red with a large white kangaroo silhouette. A small Qantas kangaroo logo appears on the nose and on each white engine nacelle. "QANTASLINK" is printed mid-fuselage, with "QANTAS" in black and "LINK" in red. "AIRBUS A220-300" appears in small text below the forward windows. Sharklets are white with a red leading edge. An Australian flag appears beside registration VH-X4B near the tail. Fleet identifier "4B" is visible in white at the top of the fin.
