The IL-62M serialled 11+22, MSN 4445827, began its operational life as DDR-SEP with Interflug, the flag carrier of East Germany. Following German reunification in 1990, the aircraft was transferred to the Bundeswehr and assigned the military serial 11+22 for service with the Luftwaffe as a VIP long-range transport. The IL-62M variant, powered by four Soloviev D-30KU turbofan engines mounted in paired rear pods, offered a range exceeding 10,000 km — sufficient for trans-Atlantic government missions from Bonn. The airframe was later noted with the eventual operator Alim Airlines (registered SU-ZDA) after Luftwaffe retirement.

Livery & Visual Details

The model reproduces the Luftwaffe's VIP transport scheme: white upper fuselage divided from light-grey lower fuselage by a bold red cheatline trimmed with thin white borders. The vertical stabilizer is white with a large red upper section, topped by a German flag tricolour (black, red, gold). Registration "11+22" with the Bundeswehr Iron Cross appears in black on the lower aft fuselage. "IL-62M" is lettered in italic black near the nose. Iron Crosses are also applied to the upper wing surfaces. The four rear-mounted engine pods, tail-mounted auxiliary ground support strut, and T-tail horizontal stabilizer with red tips are all visible features of the IL-62M type.
