D-AIUC, MSN 6006, completed its first flight on 27 February 2014 and entered the Lufthansa fleet as an A320-214 fitted with Sharklets. The airframe was selected for Lufthansa's "Yes to Europe" special livery—a pro-European unity campaign that placed a ring of 12 gold stars and the phrase "Yes to Europe" in blue capital letters along the forward fuselage, deliberately evoking the European Union flag. The livery was documented in service into 2024 and generated wide coverage among European aviation photographers.

Livery & Visual Details

The fuselage is white. A circular formation of 12 yellow-gold stars flanks the text "Yes to Europe" in dark blue, positioned from just behind the cockpit windows to beyond the wing root on both sides. Below the cockpit windows, "Lufthansa" appears in smaller blue type. The vertical stabilizer is dark navy blue, centered with the iconic white Kranich (crane) logo. Sharklets are white on the outboard face. Engine nacelles are all-white with black inlets and dark metallic exhaust cones. The registration D-AIUC and a small German flag (black, red, gold) appear on the aft fuselage.

Herpa Wings item HE538176 reproduces the "Yes to Europe" graphics at 1:500 via pad printing on the A320-200 Sharklet mould. The circular 12-star arrangement is the central graphic challenge of this livery at this scale—a test of Herpa's printing resolution. The campaign ran across a small number of Lufthansa aircraft, making this among the more specific single-aircraft liveries in the current Herpa release catalogue.
