9K-GAA is a Boeing 747-8JK BBJ, MSN 38636, line number 1434. The airframe was test-registered N6067E before delivery to the State of Kuwait on 3 November 2012. The 747-8JK is the VIP/head-of-state derivative of the 747-8 Intercontinental, configured with a lower main-deck floor for custom interiors. 9K-GAA has been parked at Basel EuroAirport since August 2022 following the change of leadership in Kuwait in late 2023, making operational sightings of this specific aircraft increasingly rare.

Livery & Visual Details

Clean white fuselage with a continuous dark blue stripe running the full length of the lower hull, flanked by thin light-blue accent lines above and below — a refined triple-stripe arrangement. Engine nacelles are white with a prominent dark blue ring framing each intake. Forward fuselage carries "STATE OF KUWAIT" in dark blue with Arabic text above it reading "دولة الكويت."
