9H-NCD, an ATR 72-600 (72-212A) with MSN 1059, was originally delivered in December 2012 as PR-PDI to Passaredo Transportes Aereos in Brazil. It later passed through Nordic Aviation Capital (2-RPDI), Air Nostrum as EC-NCD, and was registered in Malta as 9H-NCD when operated by Mel Air on behalf of Iberia Regional from January 2023. The Malta register (9H-prefix) is common for wet-leased ATRs supplied to Spanish regional carriers. In this configuration, the airframe wears full Iberia Regional colors while the certificate of airworthiness sits under a Maltese AOC.

Livery & Visual Details

The model depicts Iberia Regional's current livery. The fuselage is white; the vertical stabilizer and rear fuselage sweep are painted vibrant red. The tail carries a stylized yellow abstract motif—a bird or crown silhouette—at its very top. "IBERIA" and "REGIONAL" are printed in red capital letters on the forward fuselage. A small Maltese flag (red and white) appears to the left of the registration 9H-NCD on the aft fuselage. Propeller blades are black with yellow tips. Engine nacelles are white. No winglets—the ATR 72-600's wingtips are straight-cut. The model captures the high-wing, T-tail configuration of this regional turboprop.
