SU-EGY carries MSN 37826 and was formally delivered to the Arab Republic of Egypt on 15 December 2025 — the most recently delivered Boeing 747-8 variant to enter government service. Conversion from green airframe to VIP configuration was performed by Lufthansa Technik in Hamburg over a four-year completion programme. The aircraft's role as the Egyptian head-of-state transport places it in the rarefied category of 747-8 BBJ (Boeing Business Jet) operators, a list that numbers fewer than ten aircraft worldwide. SU-EGY is the sole 747-8 in the Egyptian presidential fleet.

Livery & Visual Details

White upper fuselage over a warm sand-beige belly, divided by a triple-stripe cheatline of thin red — wide black — thin red. "ARAB REPUBLIC OF EGYPT" in black capitals runs along the mid-fuselage, followed aft by "جمهورية مصر العربية" in Arabic script. The vertical stabilizer displays the Egyptian national tricolour — red over white over black — with the gold Eagle of Saladin centred on the white band. The registration SU-EGY appears on the aft fuselage. Four GEnx-2B67 engines in sand-beige nacelles hang below the wing. Boeing 747-8-specific raked wingtips are reproduced at both wingtip positions.
