1:500 Diecast: Delta Air Lines Airbus A330-941 N417DX (Herpa Wings HE533515-001)
N417DX, MSN 2000, rolled off the Toulouse production line with a first flight on 8 February 2022 before joining Delta Air Lines' transatlantic fleet. The airframe carries the even-numbered serial that marks it as part of the carrier's initial A330-900neo batch, and it regularly rotates through long-haul routes including Seattle–Tokyo and Atlanta–London Heathrow. The A330-941 designation reflects the neo variant's Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engines, which cut fuel burn roughly 25% versus the earlier A330-200.
Livery & Visual Details
The model renders Delta's current livery in crisp white over the entire fuselage. Large dark-blue "DELTA" lettering dominates the forward upper fuselage, preceded by the carrier's signature red-and-blue Widget logo. A thin dark-blue belly stripe runs aft toward the tail. The vertical stabilizer is white, carrying the Widget in its full two-tone form—a bold blue-and-red triangle split by a white accent line. Sharklets at the wingtips are painted matching deep blue; engine nacelles share the same dark blue with silver intake lips. The registration N417DX and a small United States flag appear on the aft fuselage.
Model Craft & Collectibility
Produced by Herpa Wings at 1:500 scale from diecast metal with fine-detail pad printing. Item number HE533515-001 covers the -001 variant with rolling landing gear. The A330-900neo mould captures the characteristic long fuselage stretch and the blended sharklet winglet profile introduced with the neo family.
