1:200 Diecast: Binter Canarias Embraer E195-E2 EC-NEZ "Islas Canarias" (Herpa HE573009)

EC-NEZ, MSN 19020023, was delivered to Binter Canarias in December 2019 — making Binter the first airline in Europe to operate the Embraer E195-E2. Named "Islas Canarias," the aircraft entered service just in time for the airline's 30th anniversary. Powered by two Pratt & Whitney PW1900G geared turbofan engines, the E195-E2 (formally ERJ 190-400 STD) is the largest member of Embraer's second-generation E-Jet family, carrying up to 146 passengers in an optimized single-class layout. EC-NEZ remains active in Binter's expanding fleet, which has since grown to nine E2-series jets with six more confirmed on order.

Livery & Visual Details

The model reproduces Binter's signature canary-island livery: white upper fuselage with a lime-green lower stripe that curves upward to cover the nose cone entirely. "Binter" appears in large lime-green capitals across the forward fuselage; "bintercanarias.com" is printed in white on the green belly stripe. "LINEAS AEREAS DE CANARIAS" runs above the cabin windows in green, accompanied by a small Spanish flag. The tail features a multi-wave pattern in lime green, light blue, and white. Wingtips carry prominent winglets, white on the outside with a lime-green inner stripe. The fleet name "HN 133" and individual name "Isla Graciosa" are visible near the nose.

Model Craft & Collector Notes

Produced by Herpa Wings in 1:200 scale using their snap-fit plastic construction. Released July/August 2024, this is the first 1:200 Herpa release of the Binter Canarias E195-E2 in the Islas Canarias scheme. The model includes a display stand. Item number HE573009.
