1:200 Diecast: WestJet Boeing 737-600 C-GWSL (Geminijets G2WJA1295)

C-GWSL carries MSN 34633, delivered to WestJet on 3 March 2006 following its first flight on 16 February 2006. WestJet operated the 737-600 — the shortest-fuselage member of the Classic-to-Next-Generation transitional 737 family — as the type code 737-6CT. The aircraft served the carrier for 15 years, retiring in April 2021 when WestJet returned the airframe to its lessor. C-GWSL was broken up at Marana, Arizona in July 2024.

Livery & Visual Details

The fuselage is white. "WESTJET" appears in bold dark blue on the forward cabin, with a light blue stylized flight path leading into the "J." "BOEING 737-600" runs in teal-blue text on the lower aft fuselage below the window line. A small Canadian flag is mounted on the upper aft fuselage, forward of the tail. Registration "C-GWSL" is printed in black on the lower rear fuselage just above the cargo door line. The vertical stabilizer carries WestJet's "W" logo: a deep blue base form with twin teal-blue stripes sweeping upward. Classic 737 wingtips — no winglets of any type — are fitted, consistent with the 737-600's factory configuration. CFM56 engines have white nacelles with fine warning stencils at the intake lower forward section. The horizontal stabilizers are light grey.

Model Craft & Collectability

Geminijets released G2WJA1295 in April/May 2024 at 1:200 scale in diecast metal with a metal display stand, removable landing gear, and rolling rubber tires. The 737-600 is among the rarest commercial 737 variants: Boeing delivered only 69 examples across all operators, with WestJet and SAS as the two primary customers. New 1:200 releases of this variant are uncommon; the Geminijets tooling accurately captures the shorter fuselage and no-winglet configuration that distinguishes the 737-600 from the more common 737-700/-800/-900 releases.
