1:400 Diecast: Kalitta Air Boeing 747-400(BCF) N744CK "Mask Livery" Flaps Down (GeminiJets GJCKS1999F)
Boeing 747-446 N744CK, MSN 26353, began its career as JA8909 for Japan Airlines, delivered 7 June 1993, and operated for JAL in passenger configuration before being converted to a Boeing Converted Freighter (BCF) in November 2006. Kalitta Air took delivery on 6 December 2010, registering the aircraft N744CK. The airframe has since accumulated over three decades of logged flight hours across two distinct careers — passenger for one of Asia's flag carriers, cargo for one of North America's largest 747 freight operators. Kalitta Air's fleet remains among the largest active 747 operators globally.
Livery & Visual Details
This GeminiJets release captures N744CK in Kalitta Air's special "Mask Livery" — a scheme applied during the COVID-era period acknowledging the airline's PPE logistics operations. The dominant white fuselage features a bright blue radome on the nose, and horizontal gold-yellow and red stripes run along the lower fuselage from just aft of the nose to the tail. "KALITTA AIR" is printed in bold gold capital letters on the mid-fuselage, preceded by a stylised gold wing emblem. "C.R. Kalitta" lettering appears below the cockpit windows. The vertical stabiliser carries diagonal red and gold-yellow stripes sweeping from the leading edge downward; winglets carry matching stripe accents. The model is configured with flaps and slats extended, reproducing a landing/approach configuration.
Model Craft & Collectibility
GeminiJets GJCKS1999F uses a new-mould 747-400F tooling — GeminiJets' most detailed 747 freighter mould to date, featuring accurate BCF upper-deck window blank configuration and correct main-deck cargo door outlines. Diecast alloy construction, 17.67 cm length, 16.11 cm wingspan at 1:400. The "Mask Livery" Flaps Down combination on a new mould is a limited-production release; the item is listed as discontinued at most major retailers, reflecting high demand from both 747 collectors and Kalitta Air followers.
