N580UW, MSN 6133, was delivered to American Airlines on 11 June 2014 following a ferry flight from Hamburg Finkenwerder. Originally configured to carry the standard American livery, the aircraft entered an Amarillo paint shop in October 2023 and emerged wearing the "America West Heritage" scheme — one of a set of heritage repaints that American commissioned to mark the carrier histories absorbed through the US Airways merger. America West merged into US Airways in 2007; US Airways merged into American in 2015.

Livery & Visual Detail

The fuselage is white with a teal/turquoise band running along the lower fuselage and extending into a wave pattern towards the tail cone. "American" appears in dark blue above the windows on the forward fuselage, alongside the modern eagle logo. The registration "N580UW" and a small US flag are printed aft. The vertical stabiliser is teal, carrying a large stylised red "W" — the abstracted America West mark. The engine nacelles are white with a teal rear section; each nacelle carries the same red "W" logo. Sharklets are fitted: upward-curving blended wingtip devices, grey on the outer face with a teal underside accent. No chevron nozzles on the engine exhausts.
