1:200 Diecast: Air Canada Cargo Boeing 767-300ERF C-GXHM (Geminijets). This aircraft holds the distinction of being the first factory-built Boeing 767 freighter to wear Air Canada's modern black, white, and red livery introduced in 2017. Rolled out from the paint shop in August 2022, C-GXHM was one of two factory-built freighters delivered to Air Canada that summer, marking a significant expansion of the airline's dedicated cargo fleet.
Factory freighter vs conversion: Unlike many cargo 767s that start life as passenger aircraft and are later converted, C-GXHM was built new as a freighter—a 767-300ERF variant straight from Boeing's production line. It offers nearly 58 tonnes of cargo capacity across 438 cubic meters, with temperature-controlled lower deck space and a large rear door for pallet loading. This aircraft joined eight converted 767 freighters and two factory-built 777Fs to give Air Canada one of North America's most robust cargo fleets.
A new chapter in 2024: After Air Canada temporarily retired C-GXHM in April 2024 due to a cooling cargo market post-pandemic, the aircraft found a second life. In December 2024, it was leased to Ethiopian Airlines Cargo, following a test flight on December 3 and ferry to Toronto for preparation. It now operates as part of Ethiopian's expanding freighter fleet, connecting Africa with global markets. C-GXHM represents the rare cargo aircraft that has served two major international carriers.
About this model: Geminijets' Gemini 200 series release captures C-GXHM in its striking Air Canada Cargo livery. The 1:200 diecast features detailed landing gear with rolling rubber tires, pivoting main bogies, and a presentation stand for in-flight display. The model includes fine photo-etched metal antennas and pad-printed markings that won't fade—characteristics that make Geminijets a benchmark in 1:200 scale collecting. At 27.47 cm long, it's a substantial piece with solid diecast metal construction throughout the fuselage and wings.
