1:400 Diecast: China Southern Airlines McDonnell Douglas MD-82 B-2139 (NG Models 24057)

B-2139 (MSN 49523, line number 1724) was originally delivered to China Northern Airlines on 9 October 1991. When China Northern was absorbed into China Southern Airlines in November 2004, B-2139 joined the southern carrier's fleet wearing the China Southern livery. The aircraft was subsequently sold abroad, operating for Ararat International Airlines from March 2010 and later for Iran Air Tour from November 2011 under registration EP-MDE, where it remains in service.

Livery & Visual Details

The model depicts B-2139 in China Southern livery. The fuselage is gloss white; the nose cone and the area below the cockpit windows are painted deep blue. A horizontal stripe of connected rectangular elements runs along the mid-fuselage. "CHINA SOUTHERN" appears in dark blue capital letters on the forward fuselage, followed by Chinese characters reading "Zhongguo Nanfang Hangkong" (China Southern Airlines). The vertical stabilizer is gray at the leading section with Chinese characters printed vertically, transitioning to a bright blue rear section carrying the China Southern kapok flower logo in red. Rear-mounted JT8D-series engines with gray nacelles carry engine type designation text on the nacelle sides.

Classic raked wingtips with no winglets are accurate to the MD-82 type.
