1:500 Diecast: LATAM Boeing 787-8 CC-BBA (Aether LAN126105)
CC-BBA is a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, MSN 38471, Line No. 68, powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines. It first flew on 6 August 2012 and was delivered to LAN Airlines (now LATAM Airlines Chile) on 31 August 2012 — making CC-BBA the fourth 787-8 delivered to any commercial operator worldwide, after ANA and two other early recipients. At delivery it was the first 787-8 to enter the LAN fleet, marking a significant fleet modernization milestone for South America's largest airline group.
Livery & Visual Detail
White fuselage and wings in LATAM's current livery. The "LATAM" name appears in stylized blue capitals on the forward fuselage, accompanied by the blue/red/white triangular LATAM emblem. "BOEING 787-9" and "DREAMLINER" text with four red stars appear on the rear fuselage — note these markings reflect the Dreamliner branding common across the type regardless of sub-variant. The registration "CC-BBA" is visible on the lower rear fuselage. The vertical stabilizer carries the LATAM dark blue sweep design with a red angular accent. Raked wingtips — the characteristic smooth upswept tips of the 787 family rather than discrete winglets.
Model Craft & Collectibility
Produced by Aether under item LAN126105 at 1:500 scale. The 787-8 fuselage is slightly shorter than the stretched -9 variant. At 1:500, the model measures 11 cm in length and 12 cm in wingspan — a compact shelf format. Aether's 787 mold reproduces the type's smooth composite fuselage lines and large turbofan nacelle proportions.
