B-LXO is an Airbus A350-1041, MSN 434, test-flown under registration F-WZHJ on 8 February 2021 and delivered to Cathay Pacific on 5 March 2021 via delivery flight CX3510 from Toulouse (TLS) to Hong Kong (HKG). It is powered by two Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-97 turbofans — the dedicated powerplant for the A350-1000, producing more thrust than the XWB-84 fitted to A350-900 variants. On 26 November 2025, B-LXO suffered a tailstrike during a go-around at Hong Kong International Airport while operating inbound from Ho Chi Minh City; the aircraft has been parked since.

Livery & Visual Details

The fuselage is clean white. "CATHAY PACIFIC" is printed in dark teal along the forward fuselage, accompanied by the airline's brushwing logo in matching teal beneath the cockpit windows. A small Hong Kong Bauhinia flag appears on the rear fuselage. The vertical stabilizer is dark teal carrying a white brushwing logo. Engine nacelles are painted in Cathay Pacific's signature light teal-blue — a detail specific to their A350 fleet — with metallic silver exhaust cones. Wings are light grey. Wingtips are raked, characteristic of the A350's composite wing architecture. Landing gear is deployed.
