1:400 Diecast: EL AL Israel Airlines Boeing 767-200 4X-EAD (AeroClassics)
A Legend of the ETOPS Era: This 1:400 scale diecast model captures a true pioneer of long-haul aviation. 4X-EAD (MSN 22974, Line 43), named "Daliat El-Carmel", was EL AL's very first Boeing 767-200. Upon its delivery in July 1983, it made global headlines by setting a world record for the longest non-stop flight by a twin-engine jet at the time, flying over 5,600 miles (9,100 km) from Montreal to Tel Aviv. This historic flight was a massive milestone in proving the reliability of twin-engine aircraft for transoceanic routes.
Vintage 1980s "Cheatline" Livery
Produced by AeroClassics on their renowned vintage metal mould, this model perfectly replicates the classic 1980s EL AL livery. It features the iconic blue-and-silver cheatline, the "Star of David" on the tail, and the bilingual English and Hebrew titles on the fuselage. Measuring 12.13 cm long, this solid diecast model showcases the distinctive early-production 767-200 silhouette, complete with detailed Pratt & Whitney JT9D-7R4D engines.
A Must-Have for Historical Collectors
4X-EAD served EL AL faithfully for nearly 30 years before its retirement in 2011. For collectors of vintage widebodies, record-breaking aircraft, or those documenting the evolution of the Boeing 767 family, this AeroClassics release is an essential addition. It represents the dawn of the twin-engine "Dream" before the 777 and 787 took over the long-haul skies.
