• Feature:This 1:400 scale American International Airways Douglas DC-8-61F alloy model, crafted with great effort by Aeroclassics, takes you back to the golden age of heavy air freight at the end of the last century. As a member of Douglas's classic "Super 60 series," the DC-8-61F greatly extended the fuselage, perfectly balancing excellent cargo volume with the reliability of a four-engine jet, becoming amainstay in intercontinental cargo and charter services at the time. The N24UA aircraft depicted in the model belonged to the renowned American International Airways, the predecessor of today's global cargo giant Kalitta Air. The company was founded by legendary racer and pilot Connie Kalitta, and with its powerful fleet and efficient global transport capabilities, established a pivotal position in international logistics, military transport and special charter services.

The most classic charm of this model lies in its authentic early official livery, with the highly striking vintage lettering "AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL AIRWAYS" on the side of the fuselage. The classic pure white fuselage is paired with awith a strong era power red-and-gold two-tone waistline that elegantly extends from the nose, and reflects geometric tension on the vertical tail, demonstrating extremely high aesthetic recognition. Compared to Kalitta Air's later livery, this model more faithfully records the historical appearance of the brand in its early days. Whether in thedepiction of individual details or the mechanical beauty of the four engines, it stands out among many civil aviation models, and is a rare retro masterpiece for senior model collectors researching aviation history and enriching their cargo-aircraft collections.
