Registered 9V-SGA, MSN 492, this Airbus A340-541 was delivered to Singapore Airlines on 31 December 2003 — the first of five A340-500s that the carrier deployed on ultra-long-haul routes including nonstop Singapore–Los Angeles and Singapore–Newark services. The aircraft operated for roughly a decade before being stored in October 2013 and later scrapped in July 2020. In service it carried the internal fleet number for the pioneering batch that opened the world's longest commercial routes by block time.
