Registered B-6508, this Airbus A340-642 carries MSN 436 and first flew on 28 September 2002. Hainan Airlines received the aircraft on 1 February 2009, making it the first of three A340-600s operated by the carrier. The type gave Hainan Airlines the range to open nonstop services between Beijing and multiple European destinations. B-6508 was withdrawn from service and later scrapped in March 2015.

Livery & Visual Details

The model reproduces Hainan Airlines' signature scheme: white fuselage with a vivid red nose cone and a sweeping gold-to-red cheatline running from the cockpit area toward the tail. The vertical stabiliser is bright red, carrying a large stylised gold phoenix emblem — the airline's principal logo. "Hainan Airlines" in Latin script and the corresponding Chinese characters reading "海南航空" appear in black on the forward fuselage. The registration B-6508 is placed in black on the lower mid-fuselage. Winglets with red and gold trim accent each wing tip. Four engines in white nacelles hang beneath the wings, characteristic of the A340-600's distinctive quad-engine silhouette on the longest single-deck Airbus fuselage produced.

Released alongside the B-6509 and B-6510 versions, the B-6508 documents the first Hainan Airlines A340-600. The model ships with a display stand.
