1:200 Diecast: China Eastern Airlines Airbus A340-600 B-6055 "Expo 2010 Shanghai" (SQ Wings L2113)

B-6055 is an Airbus A340-642, MSN 586, delivered to China Eastern Airlines on 28 July 2004. The airframe was selected to carry the official Expo 2010 Shanghai special livery, themed around the Expo slogan "Better City, Better Life." China Eastern operated this aircraft on the last commercial A340 flight in the airline's fleet — flight MU 524 from Tokyo Narita to Shanghai Pudong — before retiring the type in 2015. MSN 586 was subsequently stored as D-AAAS and scrapped in 2019.

Livery & Visual Details

The livery transitions in three color bands along the fuselage: deep orange-red at the nose and cockpit area, bright emerald green in the mid-fuselage, and white on the rear. The lower fuselage carries the standard China Eastern red-gold-blue multi-band stripe below the windows. "Better City, Better Life" is written in white on the green mid-fuselage section. The Expo 2010 official logo — a green stylized sprout figure with "EXPO 2010" text — is prominently displayed on the orange forward fuselage. Chinese characters reading China Eastern Airlines appear in black on the fuselage. Registration B-6055 is in black on the rear fuselage. The vertical stabilizer is white with the China Eastern red-blue swallow logo. Four engines in metallic silver-grey with dark fan blades. Standard winglets fitted.

The SQ Wings L2113 A340-600 mould renders the type's distinctive stretched fuselage — at over 75 meters the longest commercial aircraft ever produced when it entered service. The tricolor Expo 2010 scheme with its vivid orange-to-green gradient makes this one of the most visually distinctive Chinese airline special liveries of the 2010s, now on a retired and scrapped airframe.
