1:400 Diecast: Prime Air Boeing 767-300ER C-GAZI (Phoenix PH04674)
C-GAZI (MSN 25576) was built in 1994 as a passenger 767-338ER for Qantas (VH-OGN), later operated as N328BC and C-GOGN before undergoing BDSF freighter conversion in May 2021. On 16 July 2021 it entered service as C-GAZI with Cargojet Airways, operating Amazon Prime Air cargo flights under the Prime Air brand. The aircraft became notable beyond aviation circles when, on 19 November 2024, it suffered a runway excursion at Vancouver International Airport on flight CJT2387 — overrunning runway 08L and ending up in the Fraser River estuary. It subsequently spent 197 days undergoing repairs before returning to service.
Livery & Visual Details
The model shows the Amazon Prime Air livery: white forward fuselage transitioning to a light blue swoosh mid-section, deepening into dark blue/charcoal on the lower rear fuselage and tail. "Prime Air" appears in large bold light-blue lettering on the white forward section. The Amazon smile logo in white sits on the dark blue vertical stabilizer. The blended wingtips and horizontal stabilizer tips carry a light blue accent stripe. The engine nacelles are white, with dark fan intake areas. The registration "C-GAZI" appears in white on the dark lower rear fuselage.
Model Craft & Collectability
Phoenix produced PH04674 in diecast alloy at 1:400. Amazon Prime Air models have seen steady demand from e-commerce and aviation crossover collectors since the brand's fleet expanded. C-GAZI specifically carries additional interest given its 2024 Vancouver incident — for collectors who track aircraft operational histories, this is an airframe with a documented event record.
