1:400 Diecast: East Line Airlines Ilyushin Il-62M RA-86567 (Phoenix PH12031)
RA-86567 is an Ilyushin Il-62M — the stretched and re-engined development of the original Il-62 — with MSN 4256314, built in 1995. The aircraft served East Line Airlines, a Russian carrier that operated charter and scheduled services from Domodedovo Airport in Moscow during the 1990s and 2000s. After East Line's restructuring, RA-86567 transferred to Interavia (AST Air) and was delivered to that operator in May 2006. The aircraft has since been scrapped. East Line Airlines itself ceased operations, and RA-86567 represents one of the last operational chapters of the Il-62M in Russian civil aviation.
Livery & Visual Details
The model depicts the East Line livery: glossy white upper fuselage transitioning to a deep forest-green lower section that sweeps rearward from mid-fuselage to enclose all four rear-mounted engine nacelles and the base of the vertical stabilizer. "EAST LINE" appears in dark green italicised font on the white forward fuselage below the cockpit windows, with "IL-62M" in smaller text directly below. Registration RA-86567 is visible on the fuselage underside near the engine pods. The vertical stabilizer is white, carrying the "RA" national prefix in large green text. A stylised triangular logo — resembling a mountain peak or tree form made of concentric lines — is displayed on the green fin base, with a small Russian tricolour flag on the fin leading edge. All four engine nacelles are painted deep green with silver intake rims and exhaust nozzles. Classic straight wingtips carry red navigation-light caps. Landing gear shown retracted in available product images for the main gear; nose gear is deployed.
Model Craft & Collectible Value
Phoenix PH12031 documents East Line Airlines in 1:400 diecast metal — a carrier with limited modelling coverage despite its role as one of the larger post-Soviet Russian charter operators during the Il-62M's final commercial years. The Il-62M mould captures the type's distinctive rear-cluster engine arrangement and cruciform tail. Production has been discontinued.
