1:400 Diecast: Air China Airbus A330-300 B-5912 "Star Alliance" (Phoenix PH12023)

B-5912 (MSN 1493) first flew on 28 January 2014 and was delivered to Air China on 15 February 2014, ferrying direct from Toulouse to Beijing Capital via Chengdu. The aircraft is an Airbus A330-343 powered by two Rolls-Royce Trent 772C-60 engines. It operated in standard Air China livery for ten years before being repainted in the Star Alliance special scheme in March 2024 — one of only six A330s in the Air China fleet to receive this treatment. B-5912 remains in active service.

Livery & Visual Details

The Star Alliance scheme covers this A330 with a white fuselage and large black "STAR ALLIANCE" titles running along the mid-cabin. The tail fin is black with the Star Alliance logo — five silver triangles forming a star — centred on the fin face. The nose carries the Air China red phoenix logo alongside "AIR CHINA" and the Chinese characters reading "中国国际航空公司". Registration B-5912 appears at the rear fuselage. Winglets fitted. Rolls-Royce nacelles in light grey. Rolling gear deployed.

Phoenix Models PH12023 was released in October 2025 in 1:400 diecast metal. The model carries rolling gear and captures the full Star Alliance two-tone livery accurately, including the bilingual nose titles. At 15.93 cm long and 15.08 cm wide this is a widebody-scale piece representing a current-service aircraft in one of aviation's most recognisable alliance liveries.
