F-WTTO carried MSN 1888 and flew as the first prototype of the Airbus A330-800neo, a shortened-fuselage variant of the A330-900neo family. It made its maiden flight on 6 November 2018 from Toulouse-Blagnac. The aircraft never entered airline service; it served exclusively as an Airbus test and certification aircraft before being dismantled in Toulouse. With the A330-800 programme attracting only a handful of orders globally, F-WTTO represents the aircraft type's entire early flight-test history. Livery & Visual Details

The model wears the white Airbus test livery. "AIRBUS" and "A330-800" appear in light blue sans-serif lettering below the cockpit windows on the forward fuselage. A large abstract motif composed of interlocking light blue circles—the A330neo branding device—sits on the mid-fuselage. The vertical stabilizer carries a dynamic multi-tone blue design. Engine nacelles are white with a small Rolls-Royce logo on the side. The wingtips feature upward-swept sharklets with a blue accent at the tip, consistent with the A330neo production standard.

Model Craftsmanship & Collectibility

This NG Models release in 1:400 diecast metal documents an aircraft that no longer exists physically. The A330-800neo prototype F-WTTO was scrapped after its test programme, making it uncollectable in any other form. The model tooling captures the shorter fuselage cross-section that distinguishes the -800 from the -900neo variant, along with the characteristic A330neo sharklets.
