1:400 Diecast: China Southern Airlines COMAC C919 B-657X "GAC Trumpchi" (NG Models NG24061)

B-657X, MSN 00022, is the third COMAC C919 delivered to China Southern Airlines, handed over by BOCOM Leasing on December 19, 2024. The C919 is China's first domestically developed narrow-body airliner for commercial service, seating up to 168 passengers with CFM LEAP-1C engines and a range of approximately 5,555 km. China Southern subsequently applied the GAC Trumpchi promotional livery to B-657X — a partnership between the airline and the Guangzhou Automobile Corporation's passenger car brand — making this specific airframe a unique ambassador for a domestic automotive partnership.

Livery & Visual Detail

The forward fuselage is white with "CHINA SOUTHERN" and "中国南方航空" in black below the windows. The rear half carries the GAC Trumpchi campaign design: an organic gradient flowing from lime green to emerald to deep blue towards the tail. The registration B-657X appears in large white text on the green-blue section, with the Chinese slogan "千里智行 始于向往" directly below and the "广汽传祺" logo beneath that — all in white against the gradient. The iconic China Southern red kapok flower logo centres on the white upper tail. Winglets are blended, grey with blue tips. Engine nacelles are white with standard technical stenciling visible.

Model Craft & Collector Notes

NG24061 is NG Models' 1:400 release of the C919 in this GAC Trumpchi promotional scheme, released around late 2025. The C919 mould is one of very few domestically accurate 1:400 diecast C919 moulds available. Diecast metal with rolling gear. Approximate length 10 cm. No stand included.
