B-LRJ is an Airbus A350-941, MSN 61, that first flew on 9 November 2016 with test registration F-WZFL and was delivered to Cathay Pacific on 10 December 2016. It entered revenue service on 1 January 2017. In January 2026, Cathay Pacific selected B-LRJ to carry the airline's 80th anniversary "lettuce leaf sandwich" retro livery — resurrecting the green-and-white scheme the airline wore from the 1970s through the early 1990s — as part of the carrier's #80YearsTogether campaign. The aircraft subsequently operated on routes including Hong Kong–Sydney and Hong Kong–San Francisco in this special scheme.

Livery & Visual Detail

The livery reinterprets the classic green-and-white "lettuce leaf sandwich" design on a modern wide-body: white upper fuselage contrasts with a dark green lower fuselage stripe adorned with a continuous series of small green circles. The nose cone is painted dark green. The vertical stabilizer is dark green with three white diagonal bands. "CATHAY PACIFIC" appears in red capitals on the forward fuselage, with a large green "80" logo on the rear fuselage identifying the anniversary. The registration "B-LRJ" is printed below the 80 logo in dark green. The A350's distinctive raked sharklets are white with dark green tips. Engine nacelles are pale blue-grey with a dark green band at the rear.
