1:400 Diecast: American Airlines Boeing 777-300ER N735AT "Flagship" Retro Livery (NG Models NG73090)

N735AT is a Boeing 777-323ER, MSN 32439, with a first flight date of 28 January 2016. The aircraft spent its initial service years in American Airlines' standard polished-aluminium livery before being selected as the centennial commemorative aircraft. In November 2025, N735AT emerged from the paint shop carrying the "Flagship" retro livery, designed to mark American Airlines' 100th anniversary in 2026. The scheme draws from the airline's historical "Flagship" branding, last prominently used in the 1950s–1960s on flagship transcontinental and transatlantic services. N735AT operated its first commercial service in the retro livery as flight AA80 from Dallas Fort Worth on 23 November 2025. NG Models item NG73090 captures N735AT at 1:400 scale in this centennial livery.

Livery & Visual Details

The model wears the Flagship retro livery. The fuselage and wing surfaces are finished in the characteristic silver-grey of the historical American Airlines bare-metal aesthetic. The nose cone is painted in red-orange, and a thin red-orange accent stripe runs along the lower fuselage below the window line. The engine nacelles are silver-grey with a prominent red-orange band around the intake lip. On the mid-aft fuselage below the windows, the word "Flagship" is displayed in stylised lettering preceded by the classic American Airlines eagle circular logo. "AMERICAN AIRLINES" appears near the nose. Registration N735AT is visible on the vertical stabilizer. The wingtips are raked, consistent with the 777-300ER production specification.

Model Craftsmanship & Collectibility

N735AT in the Flagship retro livery is a time-specific release tied to American Airlines' centennial year. NG Models renders the 777-300ER in diecast metal at 1:400, including the twin GE90-115B1 nacelles—the largest-diameter turbofans certified for commercial service—and the characteristic raked wingtips of the production 777. The centennial scheme itself is a one-aircraft livery rather than a full fleet repaint, making N735AT the only 777-300ER carrier of this specific design.
