OY-GKN carries MSN 2020 and was delivered to Air Greenland in December 2022, making it only the second A330-800neo ever built and the airline's sole widebody aircraft. With a global fleet of fewer than five A330-800s in service, every OY-GKN sighting draws a crowd. The aircraft connects Nuuk with Copenhagen year-round, operating Greenland's only long-haul widebody route.

Livery & Visual Details

The entire fuselage, engine nacelles, and vertical stabilizer are finished in deep solid red — Air Greenland's defining identity color. The tail carries an irregular pattern of white circular dots, suggesting a stylized Arctic constellation or snowfield. Each engine nacelle features a white starburst/snowflake graphic on its side. The sharklets are red with white outer tips, consistent with the full-aircraft scheme. "air greenland" appears mid-fuselage in large white lowercase lettering, with "A330-800" and registration "OY-GKN" printed near the rear in white.

NG Models released NG67004 on their refined A330-800neo tooling — a mold introduced specifically for this ultra-rare variant. The diecast metal construction captures the distinctive long fuselage taper and the blended sharklet winglets unique to the -800 series. Given the tiny A330-800 operator count worldwide, this release is among the most niche 1:400 widebody offerings NG has produced.
