1:400 Diecast: Air China Airbus A330-300 B-5912 "Star Alliance" (NG Models NG62080)

B-5912, MSN 1493, was delivered to Air China on February 15, 2014. The A330-300 is configured for medium-to-long-haul routes and serves as one of Air China's primary widebody workhorses alongside its 777s and 747s. B-5912 carries the Star Alliance special livery, which was applied to selected widebody aircraft across the alliance's member carriers as a co-branding initiative visible at hub airports worldwide.

Livery & Visual Detail

The Star Alliance scheme replaces the standard Air China colors with a predominantly white fuselage and a solid black vertical stabilizer. On the tail, the words "AIR CHINA" appear in white, with the Chinese characters reading "中国国际航空" also in white below. A cluster of six stylized phoenix emblems — Air China's corporate symbol — occupies the upper tail in silver-grey. On the forward fuselage, "STAR ALLIANCE" is rendered in large black letters, the most prominent text element on the model. To the left of this title, a small red Air China phoenix logo is visible near the nose. The bilingual text "AIR CHINA / 中国国际航空公司" appears on the fuselage in standard weight. Registration B-5912 is printed on the rear fuselage. Winglets are present (upward-curving blended winglets, consistent with Air China's A330 configuration). Landing gear shown deployed.

NG Models produces this release at 1:400 scale in diecast metal. The black-tail Star Alliance livery was applied to a limited number of Air China A330-300s, and B-5912 is among the documented recipients. NG62080 was released in late 2025 and captures the contrasting black-and-white scheme that sets it apart from standard Air China blue-fin models.
