B-16217 is an Airbus A321-211(WL) carrying MSN 6585, delivered to EVA Air on 21 May 2015 (first flight 23 April 2015). The aircraft operates under the ICAO operator code BR/EVA on EVA Air's regional and medium-haul network out of Taoyuan (TPE). This particular airframe carried the Hello Kitty "Pinky Jet" livery — part of EVA Air's long-running collaboration with Sanrio, which has produced multiple themed aircraft since 1992. The A321 variant marked one of the newer additions to the Hello Kitty jet series on a narrowbody type.

Livery & Visual Details

The entire fuselage is finished in bright pink. Hello Kitty characters, hearts, bows and decorative motifs cover the fuselage from nose to tail. The text "Hello Kitty" appears in white on the forward mid-fuselage. "EVA AIR" in large dark green lettering runs below the windows. The tail fin is EVA Air's signature green with the white globe-and-leaf logo. Sharklets (A321 CFM-series winglet tips with upward curve) are visible at the wingtips. CFM56 engine nacelles in white. Rolling gear fitted.

The Pinky Jet scheme demands faithful replication of the full-coverage pink and the distribution of Hello Kitty graphics — points frequently examined in collector community comparisons. The Sharklet winglet rendering at 1:400 scale is a marker of mould accuracy for this release.
