1:400 Diecast: COMAC C919 Prototype House Livery (NG Models NG87116)

This model represents the COMAC C919 in its original COMAC prototype livery, as worn by the first airframe (MSN 101, registered B-001A) that conducted the type's maiden flight on 5 May 2017 from Shanghai Pudong. The C919 is China's first domestically developed single-aisle narrowbody in the 150-seat class, powered by CFM International LEAP-1C turbofan engines. Commercial service with China Eastern Airlines began on 28 May 2023.

Livery & Visual Details

The prototype livery shows a white lower fuselage, a deep blue cheatline band running the mid-fuselage length, and a vivid green upper forward section transitioning into the nose area. The vertical stabiliser is painted in bright green with "C919" in white lettering. The port fuselage reads Chinese characters reading "China Commercial Aircraft Corporation" and "COMAC" with "C919" in red below. Engine nacelles carry "LEAP" branding. Wings are silver-grey. Landing gear is retracted in flight attitude.

Model Craft & Collectability

Released by NG Models under item number NG87116. This is one of the first 1:400 diecast releases of the COMAC C919, capturing the prototype livery that documented the type's development programme from first flight through CAAC certification in September 2022.
