F-GXLI is the third Airbus BelugaXL, an A330-743L oversized cargo transporter operated by Airbus Transport International. MSN 1930 made its first flight on 2 July 2020 and was delivered on 26 October 2020. The BelugaXL type uses an A330-200F base airframe with a vastly enlarged upper cargo deck designed to carry complete aircraft fuselage sections and wing panels between Airbus production sites across Europe. Powered by two Rolls-Royce Trent 772B-60 turbofans.

Livery & Visual Details

The BelugaXL's instantly recognisable whale livery is the defining visual feature: the balloon-like upper fuselage bulge simulates a beluga whale's rounded forehead and melon. A black painted line beneath the cockpit windows forms the whale's smile, completing the face motif — a design the Airbus team applied to all five BelugaXLs. "AIRBUS BELUGA" is printed in light blue on the mid-fuselage. The numeral "3" identifying this specific airframe appears both on the nose section and on the outer face of the right horizontal stabilizer. Dark blue and lighter blue curved wave patterns flow across the tail section, incorporating stylistic elements of the Airbus logo. A small red circular marking is visible on the engine nacelle casing. Wingtips are Sharklets with dark blue outer edges. Engine nacelles are white with silver intake lips. Landing gear is deployed; static display.
