1:400 Diecast: China Eastern Airbus A320-214 B-6639 "Shanghai World Expo 2010" (Kylin K322CES02)

B-6639 (MSN 4252) is an Airbus A320-214 delivered to China Eastern Airlines in 2010, the same year Shanghai hosted the World Expo. The aircraft was painted in a commemorative livery to mark the event and photographed at Kunming and Hong Kong in service. China Eastern's Expo 2010 special schemes became among the most colourful liveries applied to an A320 during that era, documented across multiple spotting databases and flight simulation communities.

Livery & Visual Detail

The scheme is exceptional in its complexity. The nose is deep glossy green, adorned with swirling white floral patterns and an "EXPO 2010" logo in white. A wide diagonal rainbow stripe sweeps from below the forward windows up toward the tail. The mid-fuselage is white, scattered with cartoon animals, birds, and floral motifs in pastel shades. The aft fuselage transitions to bright orange, carrying a white cloud pattern and the registration B-6639 in black. The vertical stabilizer is orange with the standard China Eastern swallow logo. Engine nacelles are white with a light-blue character cartoon graphic. Chinese characters reading "Chinese characters: Zhongguo Donghang Hangkong" appear aft of the cockpit windows alongside the "CHINA EASTERN" wordmark. Model Craft & Collectibility

Kylin Model produced K322CES02 using their IAE-powered A320 mould. Kylin is recognised among collectors for newly tooled A319/A320 moulds released from 2025 onward. This particular release captures the full multi-colour Expo 2010 tampo print across all panels, making it one of the more intricate liveries in Kylin's early catalogue.
