HL8598, MSN 689, is an Airbus A350-941 that completed its first flight from Toulouse on December 4, 2024, under test registration F-WZNE, and was delivered to Korean Air on December 28, 2024 — one of the airline's first two A350 deliveries ever, marking Korean Air's entry into A350 operations after years of fleet development planning.

Livery & Visual Detail

The upper fuselage and vertical tail are Korean Air sky-blue; the lower section is white, divided by a clean horizontal belt. "KOREAN AIR" appears in deep-blue on the forward fuselage, the letter "O" replaced by the airline's Taegeuk symbol — interlocked red and blue. The Korean-script name in white appears below the English title. Registration HL8598 is printed on the rear fuselage in white on blue. The Taegeuk roundel occupies the center of the vertical stabilizer. A350-family curved wingtips are visible — the type's high-aspect-ratio composite wings. The characteristic black "Zorro mask" around the cockpit, standard on the A350 series, is reproduced. Engine nacelles are white; the A350 uses Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-84 engines.
