A6-EHJ (MSN 933) was delivered to Etihad Airways on 11 December 2008 — and has never worn a standard Etihad livery. The aircraft rolled out of the Airbus paint shop in January 2009 carrying the "Abu Dhabi Grand Prix" Formula 1 special scheme, making it the only Etihad A340 delivered directly into special colours without a preceding standard paint period. Etihad Airways held title sponsorship of the Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at Yas Marina Circuit from 2009, and A6-EHJ was the flying billboard for that partnership across Etihad's long-haul network for over a decade.

Livery & Visual Detail

White nose transitioning to a vibrant red gradient along the forward fuselage, deepening to near-black towards the rear. Dynamic red and white streaky patterns run along the lower fuselage and over the engine pylons. The vertical stabilizer is covered entirely in a black and white checkered-flag pattern — the defining visual element of the F1 branding. "ETIHAD" in silver lettering on the fuselage with "ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX" text visible below. The Formula 1 "F1" logo appears on the fuselage, engine nacelles, and on the tail flag panel. Four dark grey cylindrical nacelles; smooth exhaust nozzles, no chevron. Classic wingtips — no winglets, as is standard for the A340-600. Full landing gear extended.

JC Wings renders this at 1:200 scale — a 37.65 cm wingspan model — capturing the A340-600's distinctively long fuselage (75.3 m in real life) and the four-engine layout. The checkered tail is one of the most recognisable liveries in collector circles. A6-EHJ is retired from service, adding retirement value to the model's appeal. The "2009 edition" designation in the product title references the livery's inaugural year.
