ET-BAX is an Airbus A350-1000XWB delivered to Ethiopian Airlines in December 2024, joining a fleet that first introduced Africa to the A350 family when ET-ATQ (an A350-900) arrived in June 2016. The A350-1000 carries two Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-97 engines — the most powerful turbofans Rolls-Royce has built for commercial aviation — and extends the A350 family's range and capacity beyond the -900. ET-BAX carries the Star Alliance livery marking, reflecting Ethiopian Airlines' long-standing membership in the world's largest airline alliance.

Overall white fuselage. "Ethiopian" in large red letters on the forward fuselage; a yellow-gold Lion of Judah emblem just forward of the nose. Amharic script and "Ethiopia Land of Origins" motto on the aft upper fuselage in red and dark grey respectively. The vertical stabilizer carries Ethiopian's green–yellow–red diagonal stripe logo. Wingtip devices are the A350's signature curved raked wingtips, painted green, yellow, and red on their inner surface. Engine nacelles are white with black fan blades and dark intake lips. This release is the flaps-down configuration.

JC Wings XX40285A uses the brand's A350-1000 mold in flaps-down configuration — a production variant that requires additional tooling over the clean-wing version, making it a distinct collector release. Diecast metal construction with pad-printed tampo markings, antenna detail, and rolling landing gear.
