1:400 Diecast: Dragonair Cargo Boeing 747-412BCF B-KAG (JC Wings EW4744008)

B-KAG is a Boeing 747-412BCF (Boeing Converted Freighter), previously registered 9V-SMP with Singapore Airlines, delivered to SIA on 22 December 1992. After nearly 15 years of passenger service, the airframe was converted to a freighter by Boeing and transferred to Dragonair Cargo in September 2007. Operating from Hong Kong as part of Dragonair's cargo division — itself a unit of the Cathay Pacific group — B-KAG handled freight routes across Asia. After Dragonair ceased as a brand in November 2016, the aircraft moved to a subsequent operator. The 747-412BCF retains the structural geometry of the original 747-400 pax variant but with all main-deck passenger furnishings removed and a large cargo door fitted.

Livery & Visual Details

White fuselage; grey wings and horizontal stabilizers. "CARGO DRAGONAIR" in large black text on the forward fuselage; Chinese characters reading "港龍航空" in red below "DRAGONAIR"; "HONG KONG" and smaller Chinese text near the nose. Registration "B-KAG" on the rear fuselage in black, with small flags including the Hong Kong SAR flag visible nearby. The white vertical stabilizer carries Dragonair's signature large red Chinese dragon logo; identical smaller dragon roundels appear on each engine nacelle. Classic 747-400 raked wingtips with a small red tip cap. Fuselage shows blanked-over passenger windows characteristic of the BCF conversion. Four Pratt & Whitney PW4000-series nacelles in metallic grey. Landing gear extended.

JC Wings EW4744008 uses the brand's 747-400 mould with BCF-specific fuselage modifications including the blanked window representations. Diecast metal construction; fixed landing gear. Dragonair Cargo operated a limited 747 BCF fleet during a brief window (2007–2016), making this livery a finite slice of Hong Kong cargo history.
